Connect To Your Center
By weaving movements based in classical Pilates into your yoga practice, you’ll become stronger and more flexible, all the while keeping your practice fluid and fun.
We do drills to get stronger for our yoga and inversion practices, but what if attention to our core was central to yoga sequencing? What if the concept of creating a grounding experience through strength was central to yoga practice?
Jenny Maier developed “connect with your center”, in response to the desire to get stronger as yogis without breaking away from that fluid feel of yoga by doing a bunch of clunky drills. In this 75- minute class, we will focus on core (anterior and posterior) strength using both movements from vinyasa yoga and classical mat Pilates. Class will always incorporate an opportunity for an arm balance or an inversion and will always end with 15 minutes of cool down and deep stretches to lengthen and work into tighter muscles, producing a more resilient body on and off the mat.
Join us on June 15 to experience what it’s like to truly find and connect with your center.
